Washington County Historical Society--Please don't deny this Boy Scout his Eagle Scout award. He was given the go ahead on his project months ago and was told that the cabin had been cleared for demolition. If the historic cabin is truly a health and safety hazard, it should be torn down. If the Historical Society wants to preserve it, can't it be rebuilt in a different spot? The Scout has a limited amount of time in which to complete the project.(it must be completed before he turns 18), so the project cannot be put on hold. He is trying to do something good for the community...find a solution that both can live with.

How can something be preserved if it is rebuilt somewhere else? Honestly, you're most likely the kids mother.
