Alabama man sentenced on child pornography charges
<![CDATA[BAY MINETTE, Ala. (AP) -- A man who says he looked at child pornography online in search of justice for his wife has been sentenced to 30 years in prison. Mark Guilbeau pleaded guilty to seven counts of illegal possession of child pornography in early April. Al.com (http://bit.ly/14zt9DK ) reported Wednesday that he was apologetic and asked for mercy before he was sentenced. Guilbeau's attorney, Denise Baschab, told the judge Guilbeau and his wife were both sexually abused as children, and Guilbeau was looking for images of his wife to ask that they be removed from websites. Prosecutors didn't buy the story. Baldwin County District Attorney David Matheny said Guilbeau had been looking at graphic child pornography for about a year before he was arrested.
