The Jasper County prosecutor has dropped a charge against a Kansas firefighter accused of stealing from a store after the May 22 tornado.
Baxter Springs salad plant closes, 200 jobs lost
The Orval Kent Food Co. food processing plant in Baxter Springs will close at the end of January, costing 200 people their jobs.
