Stabbing sends one to hospital

A fight between two groups of teens in Bath after midnight left one boy hospitalized with a stab wound in the back and another in police custody this morning.

Colonial Regional Police Chief Roy Seiple said both boys are about 14 or 15 years old.

They were among a group of about 17 teens hanging out in the 300 block of S. Green Street outside of a house when a physical altercation involving about five of the boys in the group broke out, Seiple said.

During the fight, one of the boys stabbed another boy in the back with an unknown object, Seiple said.

Used to be a great place to live in the 60's and 70's and 80's. Started going downhill with the Old Forge townhouse development.

It wasn't even a great place in the 70's...what are you talking about? The place has bars, bars and bars and that's about it. If you don't own a car, you can't even get out as there's not even bus service. For a town named Bath, it's a dirty little town.

Seems like the most depressing place on earth to me....especially for kids. Maybe they were trying to stab themselves to death out of sheer boredom!

Why were 14 and 15 year old kids running the streets at 1 a.m? Haul the parents into court and fine them, maybe they will learn to keep their kids in at night, and not out looking for trouble. Well, they found what they were looking for.

What is considered a safe neighborhood today? You may live in a (I feel like this is a nice neighborhood) but the reality is none of us are safe! Crime is every where. You don't don't have to look for it, it'll find you!

I live right near these idiots. This street use to be a nice quiet street now for the last 4 years these dumbass kids ruin it. Last night we watched from our 2nd floor window as they took pictures of the scene it's a mess out there. I know this fight is not over. I grew up in this town i know how these people are around here. Trust me nothing to be proud of... But from what we could hear from our home. These kids who just live like 2 doors down from me were at there own home when they were attacked. So who knows what its all about. Just wish people would grow up. I have a toddler and we live across the street from a park. I can't even imagine if i was at the park when something like this would happen.

What happened to parent accountability. Let's make the parents pay fines and see if their 14 and 15 year old punks are hanging out.

Sounds like West Side Story. Cept there were no stabbings. And the fighting was real fancy footwork dancing.

Society imposes extended adolesence on youth. Some kids mature sooner or are too rambunctious for current societal restrictions.

It's a shame we do not allow youth to enter the military at an earlier age if they can pass the mental and physical testing.

A couple years in the military would likely assist in preparing SOME youth for adulthood.

Coming out of the military with a good discharge... give them a HS diploma. Life's lessons can be as valid as school book larnin'.

If the still-young chaps want to go to school let them use the GI Bill to go to junior college or regular college if they are qualified.

If they lack the needed education the jr. colleges are ready for that. And, with added maturity, the kids would likely do better OR have a better idea what trade they want to pursue.

The one-size-fits-all educational system imposed upon WE, THE PEOPLE, by over-paid scum bureaucrats who are loyal to pay and pension and will likely defend their out-dated bureaucracies to the death (and that mainly exist to indoctrinate youth into accepting an elite class status quo).

It is time for change and only we, the people can bring it about and due to entrenched power structures it will assuredly require FORCE to assert our will.

Philadelphia is still a killing field compared to Bath.

Maybe the Mayor of Bath should follow the Mayor of Philadelphia's lead on gun control by banning sharp objects.

First. maybe one of the boys who was involved shouldnt be dateing a 20 yr old girl, when he is only 14, she likes to start problems. Second. i have dated to of these boys and the older one i used to be very close with, no one knows half the crap these boys are put thru. Thrid. Their mom is a very nice person and wouldnt want anything to happen to her kids, she tries very hard and her kids just dont listen, and they wouldnt be out drinking, like i said thier dad is in bed by 10pm. and their mom is up telling her kids to go to bed, but they just dont listen. Fourth. i love all 3 of them boys to death, but they need to turn their stuff around, maybe someone should try helping them, instead of starting problems and attacking them at their own house, before someone gets killed.
