Newberry dancers to perform for are groups
Area nursing and retirement homes will ring with the sound of taps and little voices during the week of May 20 through May 25 as students from S.C. Music and Dance Academy continue a tradition that has spanned more than three decades.

He has served for 10 years at W. Wyman King Academy in Batesburg. His roles there have included athletic director, head football coach, and head coach of speed and strength.
RS-M High Cheers on Torch Runners
Torch Runners for Special Olympics running up Highway 1 from Aiken to Batesburg to pass off the torch to Lexington County law enforcement were cheered on by students and staff of Ridge Spring-Monetta High School on May 2, 2013, around 12:45 p.m. Officers were raising awareness and funds through the Torch Run to support the Special Olympics in SC.
