Legislators host town hall

State Rep. Peter Buckley, D-Ashland, and Sen. Alan Bates, D-Medford, will hold a joint town hall meeting from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 15, in the Gresham Room of the Ashland library, 410 Siskiyou Blvd.

Harsh weather may cut short season at Oregon's newest state park

Excavating contractor Tony Sackos of Baker City and stepson Kevin Fraser were doing finish work last week on buried water tanks at the remote Bates State Park in eastern Oregon's Blue Mountains between Prairie City and Baker City.
