I just read on kecofm.com that this preacher admitted to embezzlement last Friday. And they let him out on a $10,000 bond. Trial is scheduled for August 14th. He claims it was only $25,000 that was embezzled. I think 25 cents is too much if you are stealing it from the church.

There won't be a trial in August. KECO and ODCR show that sentencing will be that day. Also shows that the charges were amended to one count of Embezzlement in the amount of $25,000, so that was the State's doing.

Man did wrong and in August they'll decide how long he pays for it.

I know for a fact Dr. Cail would make donations to the church and hand him the checks, and Tim Zeman would go cash them. I seen it for myself. They made A LOT of illegal "transactions" together.

what about he church people that had to leave were are they now, what is the community of sayre going to do to help them out youjust cant let a church shut down, man when ever i drive by a old church house thats closed down I always wonder why.

we know what happened and its bad, tim stole he was a judas iscariot, but we as a community need to do somthing for these people, they lost thier sanctuary, thier place of worship.

I dont go to thier church and never had seen it but I know how I would feel if our church closed its doors.

I hope they dont loose thier faith,
need to set up, start up somthing to help finance this church so it can recover.

There is or should i say was people that went to that church that have the money to save it if they wanted to. But it is easier to blame someone else and let it fail. What Tim did was wrong & i would hate to be him on judgement day but the people in that church didnt handle the situation right. That is why it took a year for charges to be filed. It is a sad deal all around but hopefully some how the church can reopen. The church is part of a denomiation with churches all over the united states so it could of been saved but the denomiation felt there was not enough memeber left and the ones that were left werent willing to help the church survive. Which is sad.

One thing I don't understand is why the Great Plains Bank would loan money to this guy on the parsonage when he didn't even own it. Makes me think the Bank should have to eat this loan.

Who's Dr. Cail? Do you mean Dr. Carl the District Superintendent? It was not out of character for him to give pastors checks intended for them. He was no longer in office when all this went down. As I understand it was a church member who brought the possibility of misconduct to the New District Superintendent and was told no to worry about it. One of the lending institutions that made a loan on the church property informed the District as a means of housekeeping. You see, the Nazarene group requires that the district give approval before property can be mortaged. It was when this notice arrived the district realized the church had been taken advantage of. Rev. Tim had forged the names of district officials to get the loan.

I understand forged documents were used to secure loans from the local bank as well. What is sad is the church tried to keep everything quite while the investigation went forth. You see the church nor the denomination knew that ole Tim was on probation for Federal Charges.

Even sadder Tim took his story to the local ministeral alliance claiming the church was using him. I understand the other churches in town was praying for ole Tim's deliverance in this persecusion. I think the local church became frustrated in the issue being drawn out and locals supporting the pastor over the church. One by one they left for other churches.

Long story longer, or something like that is the Nazarene Church strongly recommends in its Discipline that pastors are not to handle the church's money and the books are to be audited every year. I don't think that happend in this case.

Among other vices, he was known to freely write prescriptions for certain "drugs."
