Nothing seems to amaze me any more and when I think of what happen to my friend son "Jason Vasquez" who died in Iraq because he ran over a bomb. What the hell was the President thinking when he decided to send out Army Reserve National Guards out there in the first place.

THIS IS MY COUSIN A HERO!!!( AS MY SISTER WROTE)
He is a hero
Is a hero
And he'll never be put down
The thought of him will remain
No matter what might happen to our ground
He died for safety
For our peace
He had no intention to fight
But he never looked back
He went at it, so our hearts could sleep

He happened to be
At the wrong place
At the wrong time
He happened to be where fire was laid down
He was a hero to us all
Always smiling
Always had control
And he fought all night
And he fought all day
Not because he wanted to
But because he had no say
But he fought
And he was brave
He fought beside many
Yet it happened to be him
That God took him back
Back to heaven's gate
Away from the fight that still remains on our land
On our heart
And tears have shed for him
And tears will shed some more
Because he was a hero
Is a hero
A hero to us all
WE LOVE YOU JASON VAZQUEZ

How precious a life, to be taken and for what?? Honor? Glory? Country? Our Country keeps sending our young women and men overseas to fight and more and more of them are coming home in bodybags! It's been 5 years since this "war" has taken it's toll on the men and women of America. I knew Jason, he was a friend and a co worker and he was such a good person all around very caring and giving, his life was stolen from him and it's not FAIR!! He will be greatly missed by everyone and my deepest sympathy and condolenses go out to his family who in deed have to deal with the biggest loss of all, God Bless and may Jason A Vazquez R.I.P

Unfortunately Jason died defending Bush's interests. Bush wants to make sure he leaves the presidency a multi-rich billionaire and he will sacrifice our children, not his, to do so. He has created an economic turmoil for the citizens of this country, the homeless population increasing daily (have you all seen the Tent Cities popping up in various cities in this country? That's what people can now afford), pets being turned in to animals shelters or being euthanized because pet owners can no longer afford to feed and care for them, senior services are being cut or decreased, our law enforcement capacity being decreased, which compromises our safety and security, thousands of people losing their jobs and on and on. Yet, he still stands by this war that has turned this country a laughing stock to the rest of the world. For God's sake, our almighty dollar is no longer a valued commodity!!!! I admire our military and God Bless each and every one of them, but I hate this war that Bush has created--all for the sake of ensuring his oil interests. God Bless Jason and the family. We love you, Jason.

I was in the National Guard and also went overseas luckily I was blessed with being able to come home, so I speak from experience, yes I am a Veteran and yes I believe the war has to stop!! I always am saddened by the news of another soldier being killed, but it never hit so close to home as to have someone I knew dearly to have lost their life again I say R.I.P. Vazquez!

I just want to offer my condolences to Jason's family. I used to play basketball with him. I remember him from a few years back and what a sweet and funny guy he was. May God's peace and comfort rest in your hearts.

I just want to say that I am so sorry to the family and friends of Jason. My husband is serving with him in Afghanistan and was very upset at the loss of his friend. He says Jason is a wonderful individual that will be dearly missed :( I second that. Please know we are all saying thoughts and prayers for you as well as the troops still serving.

Jason Vazquez is my cousin. A cousin I never got to meet. A cousin I just found out I had and only because of the announcement of him passing away... the announcement of his murder by the current President of the US and this useless war. It saddens me that 1. My family members had to go through this tragedy, and 2. That it takes a death in the family, for family to find out about one another. We are the same age, and I am so sorry and sad that I couldn't meet him while live and well. May you rest in Peace cousin.

Jason was my nephew, We love him dearly. He will never be forgotten. He was always there for my parents at any given moment. My heart goes out to my brother (tony) Jason was his best friend. I am proud to say that Jason died doing what we love to do. We should be happy for that. At least he was not taken away by some thug in our streets....
I hope you are reunited with your uncle (papo) in heaven and showing him a good time as you did here....we will love you forever....
