Carol Stream woman gives birth on way to hospital

Congratulations on a quick and easy birth! It happened just the way our Good Lord intended it - and without unnecessary human intervention. Thank God for His perfect plan!

THANK YOU!!! What a crazy day! God was with us. His Spirit and His protection on our little gift from heaven was all Layna needed to deliver that baby. Wow.

Glad to hear my great-grandniece arrived safely and everybody is all right.

Leave it to a MK to have a PK in a hurry or a rush to storm the world ! The last time I saw Layna was 1976, ad she was not so big herself. Her and her folks pulled away in a motor home to leave and change the world, and their leaving left me feeling alone. Over many miles and years I learned none of us are alone.Sophia Lilliana, you have big shoes to fill, and I am sure you will try them on as soon as you can! To the wonderful Parents, and the most awesome grand Parents, this has to be the greates thing to look forward to!

Congratulations Layna, This is one story for the family gatherings! Now we have 2 sets of cousins born on the same days.

It couldn't have happened to a better couple! Layna because she can handle it with grace, peace and in her own very sweet way.(I understand she was saying, "I'm sorry about this..." to the hospital staff. And you bro, because you are the perfect person to be telling this story over and over again in the funniest way imaginable. I am most thankful baby Sophia, Lilliana is doing well and we can laugh about this over and over again. Thank God for His grace and wonderful sense of humor!

PS. The article fails to mention that you ran into the hospital like a raving lunatic shouting, "my wife just had a baby, I need a doctor and a wheel chair!"

It also fails to mention that Layna walked into the hospital seconds after delivering because we couldn't get anyone to move fast enough. Everyone was in shock. Layna is famous here in the hospital. Many of the staff want to hear how she delivered her own baby. Thank God all is well!

Congratulations!! Sophia Lillian has started her life with a grand entrance! Everyone will remember! I'm sure she will follow this up with a wonderful life surrounded by a beautiful, loving family and extended family. God bless her, her parents and little sister. Aunt Becky - I have real footage from the security camera's in the hospital. We had a good time watching them with the hospital security guards and they let me take a bootleg copy of it. It is both humorous and intense to see how quickly everyone moved.

Layna - totally awesome. You always comment on how wonderful everyone else is but this is a time you should be patting yourself on the back. And we are all patting your back, too.! So Proud of you.
For anyone who has never experienced delivering a baby - sure, many women give birth without meds, in homes, and even in cars - however, what about births that we never hear about when there are complications during that time to the mother or the baby. When a miracle of birth happens, especially in such circumstances, it is best to give honor where honor is due --- THANK YOU JESUS FOR PROTECTION LAYNA, SOPHIA, AND ANTHONY!!!!!!!!!
By the way, I'm sure some have read "Meanwhile, her husband slept." And thought how mean or rude that was but knowing Layna and how precious she is she probably didn't even wake him up to tell him because she didn't want to disturb his sleep. That's Layna - always putting others before herself.
