VIDEO: Sinclair Lewis' Sugar House Moves to Dorothy Thompson Common
Barnard Silver Lake Association/Sinclair Lewis Museum Committee spent the last two years fundraising in order to move a sugar house, thought to be a place where celebrated author Sinclair Lewis went to write, to the Dorothy Thompson Memorial Common next to the Barnard General Store, Dorothy Thompson was the wife of Lewis.
BarnArts Center for the Arts in Barnard Vermont. The center's mission is to engage the community in a performing and visual arts education while showcasing regional and local talent in a year-round program of music and theater for adults and kids.
Private graveside services for Verna Louise Porter, 98, a lifelong Barnard resident, who died March 25, 2012 at her home, will be held at Silver Lake Cemetery in Barnard, at a later date.
