Oroville man admits killing wife in stabbing

An Oroville man who had served time in prison for a previous killing, entered a surprise plea of no contest today in court to the first-degree murder of his wife at the couple's home late last month.

Ticks me off to see a "strike" dismissed to get a conviction. However I am happy to see the savings to Butte County taxpayers for no long drawn out ugly trial. I am glad Kathy's children were spared that. Even at 25 years that will make him very very old if he survives prison.
