Cherokee County has a 9.4 unemployment rate. Businesses are closing down in Cherokee County EVERY DAY. Self employed people don't qualify for unemployment and don't show up in the official unemployment figures. The real unemployment rate in Cherokee County is much higher than 9.4%.

C. W. Matthews paving company claims to be a local employer that won't be laying off people. This is a media grandstanding story that attempts to thwart accusations against Matthews for overcharging Cherokee County for paving projects.

Nooooo Obama stimulus plan cannot and should not work. Thats what we pray in church for everyday.... he must fail... he MUST fail... please Lord make all of his efforts fail... please let people suffer from unemployment and utter lack of healthcare... Please Lord make sure that this country suffers for the next four years so we can elect a new all-american (you know what I mean Lord ;-)) President from the GOP! BTW Lord did you hear the prayers from Pastor Steven Anderson... just sayin...
