Flooding problems in the northern part of the Des Moines River watershed brought together Lyon County residents, the city of Balaton, and county officials during the Lyon County Board's regular meeting on Tuesday.

Services for Ruth Anderson, 112, of Marshall, formerly of Balaton and Ruthton, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sillerud Lutheran Church, rural Balaton.
