Charges filed against owner of neglected horses

Sixteen counts of criminal animal neglect were filed this week against a Guthrie County woman in connection with 18 malnourished and neglected horses found on her property, a county official said In addition, Guthrie County Attorney Mary Benton, said she has filed a civil complaint against the horses' owner, Barbara Svoboda of rural Bagley.
