A handful of Big Country schools are spending another year on the list of the state's most underperforming schools, which requires them to continue to offer students the choice to transfer elsewhere.

Open house: An open house will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at Wylie High School. Parents will pick up a copy of their student's class schedule and follow an abbreviated bell schedule.

Teachers from Big Country schools recently toured TSTC's Sweetwater campus. The program, known as Real Tech, is an effort to create interest in TSTC via teacher recommendations to students who may be well-suited for one of its curriculums.
