Jailed Ava lawyer seeks help from state high court

KANSAS CITY, Mo . - A southwest Missouri lawyer is asking the state Supreme Court to intervene after he was sentenced to 120 days in jail for writing in a court document that a judge and prosecutors were potentially abusing their power.

You need to go tothe Supreme Court site on case.net and see that Carl has been released from jail Friday.

Hey, did anybody read the front page of the Herald today? The fat lady sung> Carl Smith was granted his Writ of habeas Corpus by the Supreme Court!
