The television footage of the tragedy seems to be lost forever, although memories of a 1958 school bus accident that claimed the lives of 27 children in Floyd County remain guarded for many.

I totally agree. Let it rest. My dad was one of the lucky surviors that horrible morning. He still has nightmares and has trouble talking about it. This will FOREVER live in his memory and having ppl bring it up all the time and asking for interviews doesn't help at all! By the way, he has turned everyone down that has wanted to talk to him about it.

I can't believe anybody would even ask him about it. I wouldn't in a million years.

There's nothing kind about trying to talk with or about that horrible accident to any of the survivors. But God forbid that it should ever be forgotten, that those precious lost souls or those who still mourn for them are not remembered.
