A Greensboro woman was tased by deputies with the Sampson County Sheriff's Office after she allegedly struck them as they reported to an Autryville residence investigating a disturbance.

Elizabethtown man killed in Sampson wreck
A Thursday accident near Autryville claimed the life of an Elizabethtown man. According to a report by N.C. State Trooper S.S. Canady, Jody Gerald Japarks was travelling east on N.C. 24 toward the Hayne community when he crossed the center line, striking a westbound tractor-trailer. A second tractor-trailer then hit the first truck.

Investigators: No further charges in fatal accident
No further charges will be brought against an elderly Autryville man whose wife died last week after sustaining injuries in a two-car collision on N.C. 24, local investigators said.
