North Carolina-- Just in time for Tropical Storm number two Gov. Bev Perdue has proclaimed May 27 - June 2 as Hurricane Preparedness Week.

This extended holiday weekend, chances are you will be more concerned with what to grill than what to stash away for a hurricane.

This town will bustle with activity this weekend during its annual Fossil Festival, a Beaufort County event that draws crowds eager to enjoy a festival unlike any other.

According to a Beaufort County Sheriff's Office press release, Samuel Brian Davis, 44, of Peele Road, was arrested initially on a warrant taken out by an acquaintance for misdemeanor larceny, claiming that Davis stole the ring from a residence on N.C. Highway 264, Aurora.

"We did it together, Aurora!" sums up another Beaufort County United Way annual campaign.
