I think you all need to practice not judging, forgiving and feeling compassion just as humans. Have compassion for all parties involved. Fine you have opinions arragant, drunk etc. just feel bad and hope he gets help and that the Wong family finds solice.

You have nothing better to do with your life than put people down during this holiday season. If either of their families read these comments by you they would disagree. The Wong's are never going to get him back and bad mouthing the Ed isn't going to make things better. He's going to get justice, but you're taking it to a different level. My guess is you weren't loved enough as a child. |

"Ed Stapinski was a good cop!"
And Joh Wayne Gacey was good at what He did to.What's Your point? R.I.P. Johnny I miss You. |

The people on this forum are more for the dui cop than they are for the poor victim. It is a shame that we have come to that in our society. I agree there should be honor in or out of uniform for a policeman. If there was, the man killed would still be here. What others do is not important it is our responsibility to be sincere and reputable in our own person. The jury will decide. Read the Herald News comments. It is about time that DUI by drivers be taken much more seriously.

Then go to court and defend him and speak for him at his trial. It will make no difference. You say he had no bad intent--do you sit in a bar and drink and drive intoxicated and that has no bad intent--I disagree with you wholeheartedly. He of all people should have known that the consequences of his actions could be great. He was a cop! You can give all the scenerios you want but we are talking about one individual and not the rest of humanity. You are trying to get the court of public opinion swayed and that is why we have a criminal justice system. This is just fact and not made up stuff like you are doing. If you are his relative or friend and I bet you are a cop from another force than you go right ahead and follow him to court. You have that right to speak for him as a character witness. But the judge and jury will decide if driving while intoxicated, going 80 miles per hour, weaving in and out of traffic, killing one person and injuring three others constitutes a crime. Not you, not me--the judge and the jury, nothing arrogant about that, just plain facts which you have to live with. If you think these comments are not in line than you better sit and read all the comments on the Herald News site about him. I believe in laws and therefore he will need to stand in judgment like all of us would if we were in the same spot. ps. your judgments about not having loving families is to try to put people down for their opinion. |

Fine, but then you disagree with the authorities who brought the charges against him as well. Something tells me those folks know a bit more about these things than you, me, or anyone else here. And what the heck is your obsession with the comments on the Herald News site? Sounds to me like you're actually mad that more people here aren't posting things like, "Off with his head!" like they must be over at that site. Whatever the case, I don't care, I'm not going to waste my time looking, and it means nothing anyway. I find it interesting that you and so many others here are literally incensed that not every opinion here is a rabid, foaming from the mouth tirade advocating the most cruel punishment possible for the alleged perpetrator. It's quite an interesting look into the minds of those who are a step or two away from mob rule. And, for the record, I have never met the officer, the deceased or any of their family or friends, so let's not hear any more of that crap, OK? |

I think it is entertaining that Stapinski is front page news because he is a cop. Millions of people drink and drive, I was going through mugshots in the herald so many people are in there for the SAME thing but no one is making an uproar of them. Just because he is a cop doesn't mean he is perfect and doesn't make mistakes.
No I am not a friend of his or a family member, I couldn't stand him, but that is no reason to hang him out to dry like some cut piece of meat. The world is cop haters and we all have our own reasons for it. Both families had something horrible happen to them my prayers to the Wong's and Stapinski family. |

You apparently didn't watch the interviews with Wong's family. Go pull them up and see how they feel about Stapinski. He took a life and is a piece of sht. |
||||
Now that Christmas is over, I can say what I feel. Go f*** your mother, your father, your brother and your sister!!! |
||||
welcome back lori piazza, hows your hangover doing this morning? |
||||
I already f***** your mother and sister. I'm good, but thanks for the recommendations. Couldn't believe your Mom takes it in the a**, although it was a big, big a**. |

There we go again, filty mouthed stuff. I sure am glad these are not my friends or relatives. I would be ashamed of them with their gutless, potty mouths. It shows the lowliness of this person . I am waiting to see the judge's opinion and the jury's opinion not THE POTTY MOUTHS OF THIS SITE. I agree who it is-- I am not against cops, my relative is a cop. I am for law and order. Come on--spew your venom, hatred and filthy talk. The people with any intelligence do not like that nor do they listen to you. You sound like a third grader having a fight. So sorry third graders, you have more intelligence than that. THE OLD SAYING, TELL IT TO THE JUDGE APPLIES! Time will tell what happens and that is what is bothering you. |
