Atkinson wants lawsuit against it tossed

Atkinson officials want a lawsuit filed against them to be thrown out. The town is being sued by SBA Towers, a cell phone company that wants to add antennae to an existing 160-foot tower near High Hill Road.

Potholes, slippery roads give drivers headaches

If it wasn't a slippery surface, it was a pothole or a trench. Inner city drivers faced several problems yesterday, including slippery roads that caused crashes, potholes at the northern end of Basiliere Bridge, and one downtown street that was closed for the installation of underground power lines.
