Ingles, AVL Tech may get $14.6M in stimulus loans By Josh Boatwright • October 8, 2009 12:15 AM ASHEVILLE — A board on Wednesday recommended that AVL Technologies and Ingles Markets divide $14.6 million in federal stimulus bonds being distributed by Buncombe County. Members of the Industrial and Pollution Control Financing Authority board approved AVL Technologies’ request for $6.5 million to purchase a new building and expand its satellite antenna company. Ingle's has done extremely well over the years and are solvent, so I really have a hard time understanding why in the hell that they are getting tax payer dollars. There are many other businesses that could use a helping hand in these difficult economic times. Something is rotten here and it's not their produce either.

Bob has no money, when he gets ahead he summons his pilot and off they go to Vegas to get rid of 5 to 10 million dollars. This can be done in about three days according to sources.

from the same article:
"Stimulus loans at a glance
A county board approved applications from two local companies for federal stimulus bond totaling $14.6 million, turning down four others that applied.
Accepted
AVL Technologies:$6.5 million for a new building that will provide more space for the growing satellite communications technology company. The company employs 160 people and provides mobile satellite antennas for clients like NBC News and the White House. Ingles Markets:$8.1 million to double the size of its 800,000 square foot distribution center on U.S. 70. The company expects to add hundreds of jobs in coming years. "
Millions...millions...millions . Talk to hte workers their hours have been cut back and dome let go. YET....millions and millions and do you see a difference in the amount of customers in the parking lot? I don't.

They have people making deals everywhere. Having Gordon Myers pulling strings with the DOT made it a lot easier to get roads into the crap land Ingle built most of their stores on. Myers was a NC State official and also a VP of Ingles. Ingle bought out of the way land for many of his stores and suddenly new roads were put in. Every time I hear how smart Bob Ingle was for knowing where to place stores I laugh. It was no accident.

It is amazing if he was hurting so bad, then why all the old small stores he had before he 'upgraded' are still sitting empty. If he needed to money so bad sell them or rent them out. Even use these as warehouses. So as they get most of your paycheck for groceries they will in turn get not only yours but your children's by stimulus.
