Two injured, one airlifted after wreck
Rosemary Bush, 46, of Artesia, was airlifted to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo after her 2002 Nissan Sentra was struck on the driver's side by a 1996 Chevrolet Silverado -- driven by Mattie Harrell, 47, of Starkville -- as she exited Highway 82 onto Highway 45 Alternate.
Artesia constructs new fire station
The old station overlooked 112 N. Front St. for more than three decades, but it was demolished in September to make room for a new one to be constructed at the same site.

Chad Eugene Nickoles, 30, of 1162 Steens Road in Steens, was arrested Dec. 28 by the LCSO for cocaine possession.
