A male shooting victim was pronounced dead tonight at VCU Medical Center less than two hours after he was found lying on a grassy area off Bellevue Avenue just west of Chamberlayne Avenue.

Supervisors voted 4-0 to adopt a resolution requesting that the Commonwealth Transportation Board name the Arrington Bridge in memory and honor of the late former Supervisor Harry S. Harris.

Harry Harris, a former Nelson County supervisor and a beloved community figure, died last week.
