Drunk driving enforcement is grant driven, this is not a constant way of addressing the issue.

Other states have the first DUI as a mandatory tow/impound and suspended license.

Second offense is loss/forfeiture of vehicle and a much longer jail sentence.

Legislators need to get with it by amending the DUI enforcments or tell the victims families why they refuse to not!

If you drink or partake in drugs, go get help. Life is a gift worth living and denial, suffering and bloodshed results from addiction. Hurting yourself, family, friends and innocent victims is selfish.

Alcohol is a very dangerous drug. Those of you who partake in it daily better take a closer look at your lifestyles!!! You KNOW who you are!

The more the better. they can shoot each other to death i would be thrilled. stop working their in your homes santa cruz county they wont have money for beer cause they sure dont buy condoms.they are ruining our country why cant we stand tall against them
YOU are uneducated in every manner. You can't spell and you don't know what a capital letter is. More importantly, you are very mean-spirited. It was very stupid to drive drunk, but the two men who died were very well-loved by their family and friends who morn them tonight. And children were left without their father.

I understand the anger and frustration about the uncontrolled gang problem, but this particular family is not part of that lifestyle and they are not here illegally.

I only wish that they would have cared about their lives as much as you seem to. People, unfortunately don't realize this gift of life until it is too late. no winners in this story. I am saddened for the men, the family, the haters and the taxpayers. We also lose because we wind up picking up the tab on so many that just don't care about anything or anybody. As I said, no winners here.

I know a lot Mexicans that are hard working folks, same with white and black folks. If I judged all races by the the losers in every race, I'd be one miserable Bastard. Isn't that what Hitler did with the Jewish! People who refuse to partake in Society should be put away... NO MATTER WHAT RACE THEY ARE!!
