Severe weather is in the area this weekend. Callaway had ping-pong ball sized hail on Saturday morning and there were verbal reports of baseball-sized hail in the Arnold area as of Saturday night.

Colten Eggleston, of Broken Bow is this year's Spelling Champion. The seventh grader spelled 48 of 50 words correctly spread out over five lists of 10 words each in this year's competition Feb.

After 18 years of entertaining people from around the world, the South Loup River Blues Festival has been canceled.

For the past 18 years, people have been singing the Blues in Arnold. This week many folks are experiencing a case of "the blues" as the announcement was made that the annual South Loup River Blues & BBQ, more commonly known as Blues Fest, is calling it quits.
