The hot weather is leading to road trouble. The North Dakota Department of Transportation closed Interstate 29 from Harwood to Argusville Wednesday morning so crews could repair the pavement.

Almost everyone who went through the "Flood of '09" has a story to tell. But for one Valley City man, his experience might have been life-threatening. Jeff Bopp, who lives south of Valley City, just off the Kathryn Road, was trying to wade through chest-deep water in the dark to get home.

" A fire of undetermined cause destroyed a rural home early today, but the owner was able to escape safely thanks to a smoke detector.

Fire ripped through a home in rural Harwood overnight. Harwood fire crews were called to the home at 2876 169th Avenue SE just after 1:30 this morning.
