Just a bunch of losers that are criminals with a badge. Does not suprise me at all. You realize that being smart is not a qualification for being a cop.

SPeedtraps use revenue to support thier operations. APD does not need that money. Very few Speed cites are written there. Maybe 10 a month.

Yeah they write, too fast for conditions and charge you like 136.00 and dont turn it in to the state or your insurance. Yes 04 I speak from experience.

nobody turns it into your insurance, if you're a high risk driver, your insurance company checks you every month. Bozo, set your alarm clock earlier and slow down and you'll probably never see another one again.

Hey even I slow down when I go through to get to work. Besides if you did go 60 mph, you could blink and be at Nordic. And as far as traffic fines go, every jurisdiction is allowed to set their own fines (usually, because for some violations, the state sets the fines). SO........if you dont want a speeding ticket, DONT SPEED!

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention this. I find it incredibly hard to speed when going through Aragon due to all the people who wait till the last possible minute and then pull out real quick in front of me. I would not find a problem with this except for the fact that after they have whipped it out all quick-like, they go between 30 (yes 30) and 40 mph. Meanwhile, Im trying to go a cop-friendly 55 mph (yes you're probably safe doing 10 over anywhere).

Francis, yes they do turn it into your insurance by way of the DDS. The traffic court sends in the traffic conviction to DDS and that information is availabe to your insurance company, which I'm sure checks its drivers at least quarterly. Most speeding tickets and driving violations are 2 or 3 points on your license which will increase your insurance rates if it is discovered. The best advice I could give is that if you are caught speeding (and you know you are guilty), ask (politely) if the officer would lower the violation to 14 mph over the speed limit. This will guarantee the violation will NOT go on your driving record because it is not until you go 15 mph over the limit that any points are given.

MS04 I am peronally sick of your sh*t. All you ever do is criticize the police. Evidently, you must be one of the bad apples in Polk County to exhibit such an attitude. If you were an unstanding citizen you would be happy to see the police. I wouls love nothing better to learn waht in the hell makes you so motherhumping qualified to berate the police in this county. Granted, apparently, there were some police officers who had faults. But, think about where you get police officers from....society. And think about society...doesn't it have bad apples? But, unlike most jobs, police departments require more than a job application and a brief oral interview. They require psch evals, written tests, board interviews, etc. I'm sure that they did not require that at McDonald's or whereever in the hell you got a job-if you are indeed employed (you never mention where you work so I'm guessing here). Since you know SOOOOOO much about being a cop, you should definitely apply because apparently you have the neccessary knowledge that those of us "bad" cops need. Your move....

Over the past year Ive noticed MSO4 change, too. Something has happened in his life like a divorce, got fired, got disabled, something has really turned him into a bitter crybaby. Oh well, as long as he only takes it out on us that's better than hurting "real people." It is sad though.

State law is that nobody but troopers can write a citation for less than ten over the posted limit. So, unless it's a trooper, and you really really really trust your spedometer, you can do ten over unless it's a school zone, historic, residential or business district. Trust me, I looked all this up and beat a ticket from APD for nine over in court. Right now though I cant remember if it's ten AND over or if it's OVER ten MPH/ starting at 11.

But, unless you're driving across country, the extra ten MPH will only get you there minutes sooner, not worth the financial risk.

Yes sir, at 50 mph you will get blue lights and an invitation to make a donation to the Aragon coffers -- been there, done that and so have a few friends.

Then you're dumb as a bag of hammers for paying a fine that you didn't have to pay. If it wasn't a trooper, you should have fought it. It's in black and white.
