Sheriffs fear cuts will reduce safety
Portage and Wayne counties are laying off sheriff's deputies to save money - moves that will have a major effect on public safety, the sheriffs warn.

Police in Clermont County are investigating a possible attempted abduction. The grandmother of a 9-year-old girl told police that the girl was pulled into the woods by an unknown male; however, the girl was able to break away from the man and run home.
