Yukon River fishermen who rely on catching king salmon are again protesting that Bering Sea pollock fishermen are intercepting too many.

Water had invaded the village of Akiak just a week ago forcing evacuations. The ice jam that was parked near the village has since moved on.

Do the homeless defecate in the woods? Admittedly, this is not a pleasant question to ponder.

Threats of flooding have fallen along the bulk of the Yukon River, as spring weather and time have softened the prospect of more ice jams blocking the waterway.
