Man charged with poisoning mom as a 'joke'
A Lindenhurst 18-year-old man has been charged with a Class X felony for allegedly poisoning his mother with anti-freeze. Michael Tangney Jr., of 381 Northgate Road, allegedly poured anti-freeze into a coffee maker knowing his mother, Joyce Tangney, would ingest the coffee, according to a news release from Chief Jack McKeever of Lindenhurst Police.
