I am Timmy's neice, I live in Tennessee. I can't find any information on the Fresh Start Club house - do you have a web site or phone number? How long have you known Tim? Can you tell me anything else about him and his life for the last few years. We all loved him very much and are heart-broke over this - so many regrets...

There is much more to this story and much more to Timothy Rogers. Timmy comes from a large family who loved him so much. He has 6 brothers and 4 sisters and many nieces and nephews whose lives he touched. He was loved so very very much, we are all devastated and profoundly affected by the circumstances. Indeed society has a majority of people like Timmy wrong. It hurts to read the comments being posted in the Ann Arbor Forums by people who lack compassion for those in our society who need it the most. It hurts to think that this community does not know how much Timmy is loved and adored, and how much he is missed. Maybe there are other people like Timmy who don’t know how much their families love and miss them too! It is the the comments from those people who leave their scars on the tender hearts like our Timmy. I wonder if Timmy saw himself as the throw away that these same people along with the Ann Arbor News would have you think? I wonder if that is what kept him from reaching out to his family? He was not a throw away, is anybody really? I believe that more often then not society believes that Homeless people have families that don’t care about them, thus people whith special struggles start to believe that themselves. Timmy was not homeless! Timmy was not hopeless, he was special to all of us. He is gone now and he takes with him a little piece of all of our hearts. I wish I had the chance to tell him how much I love him and how special he truly was to all of his nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters. Like my cousin says, so many regrets. |

I did mean anything bad about Tim i am just mad as hell at the police here and how they handle people that are or once was homeless them like they are not even people yes the treated Tim like that to i talk to a cop about 2 days before he was found and told me he was with his wife and seen him walk a cross the street
he hade been dead alot long they didn't look for him when he disapaird i love Tim like a brother when i would go into freshstart and see his smile it would brighten up my day when i was down the picture they had of him standing and side view was my picture i can't even go to the clubhouse right now it hurts so much everytime the bus go's by that campsite i just cry Bob was Tim best friend he went to the campsite Bob and Tim were living in a tent up the raillroad tracks that was last summer. long as it was warm they were there it's ok that he lived in the streets i grow up in the streets of ann arbor winter was hard but they have now alot of people help you the cops go and collect the street people when it is really cold and take them to a hotel until it is warmer but when it comes to the homeless people this town suck the way they treat people. i bet Tim knew his family love him i also have a family not here i know they love me but dealing with my illness it is hard to deal with my family on a day to day basics i don't know why he was out there but to me my though on it is Tim back slide to drinking and went and hung out with someone. oh last summer he was sick he tried to fix my car and keep drinking throwing up blood i think he go trierd of have other people give him he's money in gift cards he couldn't get things he wanted if it was not at the store with the cards the last time i saw him it was on the bus showing me the cards he didn't like that at all i wish his family all the best Tim will be missed i am a member of freshstart when i find out anything i will post it we don't know if we can get the autopsy if you guys do can you post what is said i know i won't have any closer until i find out what happen to him. this suck really |
