An elementary school in Angier is closed today due to an overnight wreck on N.C. Highway 50 that shut off the school's main water supply.

McGee's Crossroads Elementary School in Angier will be closed Friday for students after an overnight wreck on N.C. Highway 50 knocked out the school's main water supply, a Johnston County spokeswoman said.

All lanes of southbound I-85 in Durham County have been closed by a wreck near Gorman, according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation.

George Leonard Batts, 72, died Tuesday, April 10, 2012. Memorial services were held 2 p.m. on Friday, April 13, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 10005 Lake Wheeler Road, Fuquay-Varina. Visitation was one hour prior to service.
