Stan,
This is what I received today. I know my Palin gut feelings may not be yours, but I also know you could not survive with censorship. You decide. Barry
Dear friend, I am a resident of Wasilla, Alaska. I have known Sarah since 1992. Everyone here knows Sarah, so it is nothing special to say we are on a first-name basis. Our children have attended the same schools. Her father was my child's favorite substitute teacher. I also am on a first name basis with her parents and mother-in-law. I attended more City Council meetings during her administration than about 99% of the residents of the city.
So many people have asked me about what I know about Sarah Palin in the last 2 days that I decided to write something up ...
You have my permission to forward this to your friends/email contacts with my name and email address attached, but please do not post it on any websites, as there are too many kooks out there ...
Thanks, Anne
While Sarah was Mayor of Wasilla she tried to fire our highly respected City Librarian because the Librarian refused to consider removing from the library some books that Sarah wanted removed. City residents rallied to the defense of the City Librarian and against Palin's attempt at out-and-out censorship, so Palin backed down and withdrew her termination letter. People who fought her attempt to oust the Librarian are on her enemies list to this day.
WHY AM I WRITING THIS?
First, I have long believed in the importance of being an informed voter. I am a voter registrar. For 10 years I put on student voting programs in the schools. If you google my name (Anne Kilkenny + Alaska), you will find references to my participation in local government, education, and PTA/parent organizations.
Secondly, I've always operated in the belief that "Bad things happen when good people stay silent". Few people know as much as I do because few have gone to as many City Council meetings.
Third, I am just a housewife. I don't have a job she can bump me out of. I don't belong to any organization that she can hurt. But, I am no fool; she is immensely popular here, and it is likely that this will cost me somehow in the future: that's life.
Fourth, she has hated me since back in 1996, when I was one of the 100 or so people who rallied to support the City Librarian against Sarah's attempt at censorship.
Fifth, I looked around and realized that everybody else was afraid to say anything because they were somehow vulnerable.

McCain kept this woman in a bubble for 8 days now. She has NO idea people are on to her gimmicks.
Palin eloped with her high-school boyfriend, Todd Palin, on August 29, 1988, when she was 24 years old.[7] "It was a shock but she did it because she knew we couldn’t afford a big white wedding", her mother said.[109]
44-19=25
Track their oldest son is 19 going on 20 this fall.
Was Sarah pregnant when she married Todd?

Who cares if she was with child when she married? Happens quite frequently, but actually, let me revise that, it is more frequent that the woman simply gets rid of the baby to avoid the shame that you're attempting to heap on Mrs. Palin. Let them who are without sin cast the first stone. Wonder who said THAT? hmmm? So sad wrote: McCain kept this woman in a bubble for 8 days now. She has NO idea people are on to her gimmicks. Actually, the headline is wrong, she went to FOUR colleges, not five. And it appears that despite all these transfers, her credits and grades along with course selection, must have been pretty impressive for all of it to have been accepted by the various institutions. Anyone who has gone to more than one univ. knows that they will totally scrutinize the previous college's coursework, to the point of being, well, snooty. I attended an Ivy League univ. for 3 years before transferring to a Big Ten univ. for 2 years. The Big Ten would not accept some of my credits from the Ivy League U, can't believe it!! Mrs. Palin's grades, choice of courses, and overall organization skills must have been exceptional to have made each of these transfers so successfully. This is especially exemplary considering she got all done in only NINE semesters. "On-time" graduation at a single institution would be eight semesters, and the US average is 10 semesters. Per the article she went to: HI Pacific for Fall 82; N ID Coll for Spr 83/Fall 83; U of ID for Fall 84/Spr85; M-S Coll for Fall 85; back to U of ID for Spr 86, Fall 86/Spr 87.
