Ex-Cop Shoots Estranged Wife, Hits Responding Ambulance

A retired New York City Police officer from Long Island is hospitalized today and faces multiple charges, including attempted murder, after breaking into his estranged wife's home, shooting her several times, then side-swiping an ambulance as it raced to the crime scene.
