Maybe they can ask the firemen that received higher wages with their fake Almeda University college degrees to give back the extra money they were paid. Just deduct it out of each pay check until it's all paid off. BTW in the private sector if you committed fraud, ie lied about a collge degree that you did not earn, you would be fired.

Here here for WalMart! Can someone please remind me of the great deal Vallejo missed out on? Could the cost of extra Police needed to support WalMart outstrip the revenue WalMart brings in?
|
||||
Cost of extra police? What about the $29 million AmCyn is on the hook for the street upgrades to Hwy 29. Not such a good deal. |

"If a city council is making decisions without input from the citizens, what good is a city council?," Simon-Wargo asked.
Bartee might want to reflect on this statement. |

American Canyon CAFR 2006 Sales Taxes $1,286,788 American Canyon CAFR 2008 Sales Taxes $2,446,951 |

And now apparently their expenses are greater than their revenue by $1.7 million. It appears that despite a doubling of tax revenue that their spending has more than doubled. |

Yes, quite expected for a municipality in an intense growth phase. According to their city manager the year over year operating deficit has been caused by a sharp decline in property taxes. The thing Am. Cam did right that Vallejo failed to do is "remember to make money". Mr. Sunga was correct when he made this comment.

The difference is that the Am canyon City Manager and City Council realises that spending down their reserves is suicide. In Vallejo prior City Councils and our current City Council were too willing to do the PSU bidding and never asked the question where is the money coming from. The lesson to learn from American Canyon is that being fiscially responsible and willing to make cuts even to Public Safety is the prudent thing to do rather than waiting until it is too late. Sunga is a disgrace . To hold him up as someone to be admired is laughable. He talks a lot but "never had enough information" to make a decision. What positive finanical program has he ever put forth--saying we need more business is like saying the sky is blue. It doesn't mean anything. |

i have confidence that the employees of amcan will offer concessions to work with the city.
play nice, get nice. |

Here' an easy one...
Stop spending like a Democrat! Think about it... simply look at your State and Federal Government! You'll have your answer. |

Aggressively pursue all manner of F-R-A-U-D from within (phony degrees and the like) to out right fraudulent payment of benefits to others!
American Canyon Eleven ring bells? |

Sure, I've read all the ugly comments about Mr. Sunga (not necessarily yours here) and for me they fall into the same category as the despicable comments about Ms. Gomes. I don't fully understand the leadership of Mr. Sunga and what the Filipino community values but there is something good going on. The Filipino kids in aggregate are one of the best performing groups in the public schools. I'm not so sure it's wise to dismiss Mr. Sunga without looking at the entire picture. The may be valuable lessons to be learned. |
||||
The comments I read about Mr. Sunga involved lying or total ineptitude around a so called Masters Degree he touted himself as having. I have also read here about ridiculous claims about not having enough information about an issue, then inexplicable without any questions he votes on an issue like the CAMP and VPOA contract and raises when nothing was provided about the true cost of such raises and the deficit such a raise would exacerbate. On the other hand attacks on Ms. Gomes involve fat jokes, whispering with a fellow hag, and chasing away WalMart which in light of Am Cans structural defifcit is laughable. I do not see a reasonable comparison of name calling to being called on actions. |
||||
There's no expectation for you to stray from your talking points. So no surprises here. |
||||
And to add to that as usual you provide nothing to back up your claims. |
||||
in spite of you and alun voting no, an overwhelming vote of confidence by the rest of vallejo. "what say 'u', jd"? bwahahahhaahaaaaa, line me pockets, mate!!! |
||||
you are getting busted on the VIB site also. Its time you stop defending people like Sunga who is a political disgrace. He only offers general statements like we need more business--this is not the type of leadership we need. If he wasn't Filipino he would have gotten fewer votes than Kurshan. Your comments about Filipino students seem like they came out of left field.Whats the point. The kids aren't voting it is their parents. |
||||
Wow! What a rascist observation from the land of VIB. What does Gomes say, "we need to spend less", duh-uh! No less general 12 Step. |
||||
And if the PSU backed Logan got elected with the same votes you might be onto something. Logan barely placed forth and was endorsed by PSU's, I know it is a hit to ypur ego but folks didn't vote YES on U because of PSU's. |
||||
I stand by everything I post. Every thought is my own and doesn't follow a script or some kind of agenda. The 6 regular posters on VIB have very little proactive suggestions and very, very few positive things to say. It's really rather sad. |
