One dead in Assumption Parish crash
State Police said a 34-year-old man died when he crashed his vehicle early Wednesday morning in Assumption Parish, but his passenger escaped mostly unharmed.

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 35 complaints and reports the following arrests: John Carlisle, 54, 2009 Corner Meadow Circle, Orlando, FL was arrested on February 12, 2014 at 7:38 am for driving while intoxicated and failure to obey a traffic control sign.
St. Mary Parish Narcotics Arrest Report
According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests: Samantha Landreneau, 21, 183 Aucoin Street, Amelia, LA was arrested on February 5, 2014 at 1:41 pm for possession of synthetic cannabinoids 2nd offense and possession of Legend Drug without a prescription.
