"Very bad day for wife and family." These are the words Daniel Tamez of Amber entered into his daily journal on Thursday, May 22, the day he severed seven tendons, the artery, the nerves and three major blood veins in his left wrist with a pocket knife.

Friday, January 30, 2009; Posted: 5:05 p.m. A 2.4 magnitude earthquake happened around 7:00 Thursday night near Chandler in Lincoln County.

A 3.4 magnitude has been reported in Grady County. The United State Geological Survey reports that earthquake occurred at 5:19 a.m. about 5 miles northeast of Chickasha.

Rick Smith is glad to see the only theater in McIntosh County open again. Smith, 59, worked their when he was in high school.
