Lisa Jarrett Weitz and Frederick "Rocky" Notel Jr. of Amagansett were married in Montego Bay, Jamaica, on October 6. The bride is the daughter of Michael and Linda Weitz, both Long Island natives, and the bridegroom is the son of Patricia and Frederick Notel Sr.

Today is the Amagansett School PTA's first Hot Lunch of the school year. This is one of the many great things the PTA does for our students and teachers.
The first Author & Illustrator Night will be held Thursday, October 22 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the East Hampton Middle School gym.

Police arrested John McHugh, 40, of East Hampton on October 4 at 1:17 a.m. at Main Street and Atlantic Avenue in Amagansett and charged him with aggravated DWI with a prior conviction in 10 years, a misdemeanor.
Peconic Land Trust gets $37,000 in grants
The Peconic Land Trust has been awarded two grants totaling $37,000 from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and the Land Trust Alliance through the Conservation Partnership Program of the Environmental Protection Fund.

Cesar F. Astudillo, 30, of East Hampton was arrested on September 14 at 12:20 a.m. at Springs Fireplace Road and Old Stone Highway in Springs and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree, a felony, and DWI with prior conviction within the last 10 years, a misdemeanor.
