Officer Matt McCoy and his dog Charlie make up the Altoona P.D. K-9 unit. Their current vehicle provides too small a space for Charlie, and they are looking to citizen and local businesses for donations towards an SUV to keep Charlie healthy and this vital program in place.

Altoona Police Chief James Small says officer responded to a call to check on a man around 4:30 p.m. He says when officers arrived, the man was not being cooperative.
