A York County grand jury has indicted former state Rep. David R. Burns of Alfred for misusing public campaign funds.
On Wednesday, Jan. 18, many caring people lined Route 111 outside the York County Courthouse in Alfred and participated in a peaceful demonstration to encourage the County Commissioners to reinstate funding of the $31,000 to the food pantry of the York County Shelter Programs.
The York County Commissioners recently voted unanimously to not fund the $31,000 request of support for the York County Food Pantry at the shelter in Alfred.
