County may ration insurance coverage

Levee board asks county for partial loan
Final repairs for a break in the Bennington Levee, which allowed the White River to gush through and cover 2,000 to 3,000 acres of Daviess County farmland in March, have yet to be completed as the levee board looks for ways to fund the project.
Daviess County Council members on Thursday voted to use Rainy Day funds to loan the town of Alfordsville $250,000 for a permanent water line under the White River.
