Jeffrey Scott Long charged in wife's slaying, bond set at $525,000

I wish they would take Jeffrey Scott Long and douse him with kerosene, h@ng him from a tree and light him on fire. Film it and put on youtube as he screamed the last breath.

This is Scott Long's son. Those are some very hurtfull and cruel words to post for the family to see. No one deserves to have their life taken by another person, but you were not there and do not know what happend this tragic day. I believe the person responsible will be punished by god and not by sick youtube voyeurs. My father is innocent until proven guilty.

Agreed they are cruel and hurtful words. Did you see Janas beaten lifeless body lying in the coffin? She didn't deserve to be killed by that piece of garbage. I don't agree even a little with you about Scott not being the one, but if it wasn't him, I stand by what I said for whomever did it. Burned Alive!

I am Janas Long's sister and I know I wasn't there when she was brutally murdered, but all the evidence is on Scott Long. Janas came home on Monday, before she was murdered on Thursday, and told my brother she was tired, scarred and felt safe after this last Order Of Protection she had out on Scott Long. She said he had threatened to kill her and put her body where no-one would find her, my brother tried to get her to stay here, but she said she liked her job. I don't know if Scott's "law abiding son" knows it or not but in 1998 Scott broke Janas' neck, and told her if she didn't drop charges he would kill her, looks like he finally succeeded after numerous threats to kill her. I beleive in God, and the only thing that gets me thru this is knowing that Janas is in Heaven where Scott can never hurt her again, and knowing that God has never made a mistake and he never will.

How dare "WHO EVER" (LOL!} murdered my aunt! He not only stoled my aunt, but he stold a mother, a grandmother, a sister, a cousin,@ afriend!!!!!!! I just hope and pray that no one in our family is as sick minded as her killer! Janas was "to die for!" Our sweet Janas! She suffered throu years of abuse w/Scott, and when she was smart enough to leave him, she was brutly murdered, by "SOMEONE"! But "WHOEVER!" Wasn't smart enough to leave her alone! Now both sides of their families suffer. Why? JEALOUSLY? DRUG? MONEY? The eldest of Janas, members have memories, but how many memories will her grandbabies have? It's sad!!!!!!!!!!

Let us just all hope that justice prevails here, and that rotten MF is burned alive, or put in prison and brutally r@ped over and over until he is d3ad. We all know who did it, and wish he would not have one more breath that isn't the last one.

"REST IN PEACE AUNT JANT" On september 10,2009 we got some very bad news about my Aunt Jant....Her husband (Jeffery Scott Long) took her away from us.Our family has been devestated and very hurt.What he took from all of us will never be forgotten and i know it will take time for forgiveness if that ever happens! It still shocks me today and it's so hard to imagine what she went through and how she suffered that night!...all we can do now is try to get revenge and that revenge will have to be the death penalty or life with out parole..that's all we can do for her...WE ARE HER ONLY VOICE NOW! may you rest in peace aunt jant and you will never know how much you meant to all of us and how much we ALL loved you....you will live in our hearts forever and always!....God saw she was getting tired,and a cure was not to be; So he put his arms around her,and whispered,"Come with me." With tearful eyes we watched her suffer ,and saw her fade away; Although we loved her dearly , we could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating,hard working hands to rest; God broke our hearts to prove to us, He Only Takes The BEST!!! If you or some one you know is a victim of abuse...my advice to you is get out asap...the sooner the better, this could be anyone who is a victim of abuse.the man(he doesnt deserve to be called a man or a human..i dont belive he is!) who murdered my aunt had beat on her for a decade or more and of course he promised he would never do it again, after he broke her neck in 1998. we all tried to get her to stay here in bristol and i think by that time things had gone to far, he threatened her life and her families lives, it hurts so bad to know he took her away from us,no cancer or carwreck but him!this has been the hardest death in the family we have had to deal with because of him and what he did to her..so please if you or someone you know is in this kind of sittuation please get help, i know alot dont want help but no one deserves what she went through!..please continue to pray for our family this is not over by a long shot.. with all the hearings...appeals ect...actually is has not even begun yet!..May my aunt jant rest in peace!....and jeffery scott long get what he deserves on this earth and on judgement day!...aunt jant will live in our hearts and memories FOREVER!

The sooner that Jeffrey Scott Long is d3ad the better! Life without parole in general population would probably work, knowing he would be beaten and r@ped repeatedly. My preference would still be to hang his murdering a$$ while he burns to death.

This is Scott Long's son's x girlfriend. Ok first of all he doesn't ever even talk to his dad so why take up for some1 you don't even know anything about! I'm so glad I got out of that messed up family... that could've been me one day! Everything is in God's hands and He has a plan for each and every1 of us. I'm so sorry for the family of Janas Long's loss...That is a terrible thing for any1 to go through!!
