A piece of American history that hung on the garage wall of Albion resident Robert Wilson for over 50 years has found a permanent home in the Noble County Courthouse.

S.R. 8 in eastern Noble County was closed for an extended time Saturday after an 8:29 a.m. collision between a car and semi trailer, the Indiana State Police reported.

A bust of a suspected methamphetamine lab in rural Albion led to one arrest and the discovery of 10-15 pounds of marijuana, the Noble County Sheriff's Department said Sunday.

The Noble County Commissioners Monday tentatively approved allowing a historic U.S. map, with an Albion history as well, to be displayed in the Noble County Courthouse.

During last week's State of the State Address, Gov. Mitch Daniels referenced an 1861 letter written by a clerk named A.B. Carpenter.

One candidate for the May 8 primary election registered Friday, according to the Noble County clerk's office.
