Tuesday morning, as early as 5 a.m., Stanly County and Albemarle Police began receiving reports of a black bear roaming around near the intersection of 2427 and Highway 52. These photos were snapped by a Stanly County Sheriff's Deputy between 11 and noon Tuesday.

Man charged for five armed robberies in Charlotte

A man allegedly behind five armed robberies across Charlotte has been arrested. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say Moussa Moctor Diallo, 31, first robbed the Hollywood Beauty Supply in the 2500 block of Little Rock Road on May 23. Diallo threatened the employees with a knife and took off in a grey Jeep Cherokee, according to police.
