Our friends Beth and Jim flew in from Phoenix recently to spend a week with us. They had been our next-door neighbors for 27 years, and although we now live many hundreds of miles apart, we still try to keep in touch and get together whenever possible.

The Lake in the Hills Police Department is taking a proactive approach in educating the public on the dangers surrounding synthetic drugs such as K2, Spice and bath salts.

The day includes St. Mark's signature Cajun dishes served for lunch with live New Orleans music, arts & crafts, books, glassware sales and a Mardi Gras parade.
