I have lived in Gwinnett since 1986. I first bought a house off Singleton Rd in Norcross. It was a great place at the time. The are began deteriorating around 1990. By the time we moved out in 1993, the place had become mostly hispanic and crime was really starting to take off. A person was murdered two houses down from us.

Now, Gwinnett has become mostly hispanic and black and crime has gone through the roof. The police do a great job but they are overwhelmed.

So far my neighborhood off Russell Rd in L'ville is still nice, but the "element" is closiong in on us. I hear police sirens all the time.

I'm so pissed off that non-whites are so inclined to commit crimes. However, regarding the good ones, I have no problem living next to them. I don't care what color you are, but non-whites bring crime - everytime. I can't run anymore. I'm staying put and getting armed.

I'm from north carolina and here "non-whites" and white commit crimes. It's been my experience that it maybe a diffrent kind of crime, but crime is crime.

Crime is going up everywhere. You're blind if you think crimes aren't being committed by all.

I'm from NYC, not living in Atlanta. I can promise you crime saw no racial bariers in NYC, and it's the same here.

What brings the type of crime we're reading about here, is folks low on the economic and social ladders. And that includes the huge numbers of illegals now in Gwinnett.

I find that it's not race I need to concern myself with, it's the economic and education levels of folks in the neighborhood.
