Riding through our arroyos can be very dangerous if you aren't aware where they are. It's important to get to know your terrain before heading out on your dirtbike.

Its pretty much the biggest news around here... For fun, we sit around and watch the cars rust. Hope you feel better. Did the bike survive?

First it's nice to hear that the young man wasn't hurt/injured any worse than he was, he very well could have been paralyzed or killed....

Second, I think this is news, and I'm thankful that they printed this in the news. I have been out there and I have seen the way those hills and turns look. I think it's best to inform these kids/people that are going out there to ride, so that they don't run in to the same problem this young man did, and who knows if it did happen to someone else after this and it wasn't in the paper the next person might not be so lucky to not be hurt more seriously or even loose their life.

I think another thing that can be done to help protect these riders, is for someone to go out there and place caution tape or signs around the areas that need it. this can be done by any of the many riders that go out there, or even several of them. or the city/county could do so. In any case, I'm glad the young man wasn't killed or paralyzed. I'm also thankful that this was printed in the paper.

To the young man, I wish you a speedy recovery, and encourage you not to even second guess or think what any rude people may say on here. Just ignore them, that's the best any of us can do.

No, the city/county doesn't need to put yellow caution tape out in the desert. It would become just more litter. Personal responsibility is what's needed here. Learn the landscape before you tear off through it.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Cancer

Hold it! You need to approach things in a calm, controlled manner today otherwise you're likely to get yourself into a state in no time at all. That's especially likely if you're trying to meet a deadline because you'll start to panic and then become all fingers and thumbs. You might also get extremely ratty with anyone who gets in your way or asks stupid questions. Come on, is that fair?
