Aguanga fire near Lake Riverside Drive now under control; traffic still impacted; Highway 371 open

Cal Fire and Riverside County Fire officials have reported that a blaze that began at approximately 12:14 p.m. today in the 40000 block of Bay Meadows Way was officially contained as of 2:07 p.m. The vegetation fire, contained to five acres, is expected to be fully under control by 10 p.m. this evening.

AGUANGA: Vegetation catches fire

The fire was reported at 12:14 p.m. and as of 1:07 p.m. had grown to 7 acres, according to the latest update from the CalFire/Riverside County Fire Department.

CHP Reports Traffic Fatality on State Route 79
