The medieval serf was treated better than the APA treats residents of the "Park." It is time to rein in this out-of-control government bureaucracy. As well intentioned as the original legislation that created the agency was, Albany has allowed the APA to systematically overreach and take liberties that it (they) were never meant to have. The APA's agenda is to block economic development just enough to make it impossible for the average resident to make a decent living wage. By doing this the residents lack the means to fight the agency's onerous policies and regulations. This makes it possible for the APA to slant its decision making process in favor of the seasonal - more affluent - residents. It is time for the members of the State Legislature from that region to wake up and introduce legislation that clips the wings of the APA.
